New College Durham and EBC Hamburg have been working together for a number of years. There are very strong links between the two institutions and both work with the same international education networks: Businet, a network for the development of business education programmes, and the European Management Academy (EMA) in Paris.
Students of EBC Hamburg can study in Durham for the international study period that is part of their educational programme. In January 2008, students were, for the first time, able to take their Durham exams in Hamburg – a sign of the special working relationship that exists between the institutions.

Many EBC students who spend a semester in Durham as part of their EBC Hamburg programme go on to complete a BA (Hons) in Management, Business and Administration at New College with only one additional semester of study necessary to achieve the degree. Most make very good grades in their degree studies.
New College Durham holds EBC Hamburg students in high regard because of their overall performance in the UK programme and because of the skills and competencies they display. Particularly good EBC scholars have also been known to go on to complete a Masters in Business Administration.
